Quickstart

This guide walks you through creating your Tedro account, completing the onboarding wizard, and getting your first AI agent live. By the end, you will have a working agent that responds to messages on a connected channel.

Prerequisites

  • An email address for account creation
  • A messaging channel to connect (WhatsApp Business number, Instagram Business account, Facebook Page, or a website for Live Chat)
1
Create Your Account
2
  • Go to app.tedro.io/auth/signup
  • Enter your email address and create a password
  • Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link
  • Sign in with your new credentials
  • 3
You must verify your email before you can sign in. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it within a few minutes.
    4
    Complete the Onboarding Wizard
    5
After your first sign-in, the onboarding wizard guides you through four steps:
    6
  • Workspace profile — Name your workspace, select your industry (e-commerce, healthcare, education, real estate, finance, travel, food and beverage, SaaS, or other), and choose your primary use case (customer support, sales, lead generation, appointment booking, order updates, FAQ, or other). These selections help Tedro recommend relevant agent templates.
  • Connect a channel — Select a messaging channel to connect. WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger use Meta OAuth. Live Chat only requires a channel name.
  • Create your first agent — Pick an agent template based on your industry and use case. The wizard pre-configures the agent’s personality and system prompt.
  • Test in the playground — Chat with your new agent in the embedded playground. Send a few messages to see how it responds before going live.
  • 7
You can skip any step and come back to it later. Skipping completes the onboarding wizard without losing progress.
    8
    Publish Your Agent
    9
    After testing:
    10
  • Navigate to Agents in the sidebar and open your agent
  • Review the agent’s personality, knowledge, and actions on the detail page
  • Toggle the agent to Active to make it available for workflows
  • Go to Workflows, create a new workflow, and connect an inbound message trigger to your agent node
  • Click Publish to make the workflow live
  • 11
Every published workflow must have at least one reachable handoff node so customers can always reach a human agent. The builder validates this before publishing.
    12
    See It Work
    13
  • Send a message to your connected channel — text your WhatsApp number, DM your Instagram account, message your Facebook Page, or visit your website widget
  • Watch the conversation appear in your Inbox
  • Open Workflows > Runs to see the step-by-step execution log
